Mr. Usman Ali is a first-year Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship and Innovation student at the University of Parthenope. Mr. Ali is expecting to implicate in the financing approaches used by the SMEs for funding their multinationalization process. Furthermore, Mr. Ali also intends to investigate the real gap of financial literacy in the context of the stage of knowledge economies and proposing strategies to decreasing the time gap of entrepreneurial intention after graduation.
Mr. Usman Ali holds an MBA degree in Business Studies from CECOS University Pakistan and an M.Phil degree from Qurtuba University Pakistan. His major is in finance and at the master’s level did research in the field of working capital management. Mr. Ali has four research publications in the fields of firm financing and profitability, banking financial analysis, foreign direct investment and economic development, foreign remittances, and poverty eradication.
Gioia Arnone gained a Master’s Degree in Law at the University of Palermo and then obtained the Postgraduate Specialization Diploma in Legal Professions. After the completion of a forensic traineeship on civil and criminal law, she collaborated with the Public Prosecutors Office of the Court of Palermo and then with a Notary Public.
Ms. Arnone, enrolled in the Bar Council of Palermo, is the Co-founder Lawyer of the International Law Firm Arnone&Sicomo.
Over the years she developed a specific expertise on Criminal Law, Immigration Law, Family Law as well as on Real Estate and Tax Law, also providing advice to local Start-ups and SMEs on Microfinance and Internationalization.
She often promotes social and professional conferences and lectures. Italian native speaker, Gioia speaks fluent English..
Nicoletta Cangiano is a PhD student in “Entrepreneurship and Innovation” from the University of Naples Parthenope.
In October 2014, she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Naples Federico II with a final exam in which she studied the subject of the grey economy and organized crime.
Subsequently, she attended and achieved in Foggia, from the Sida Group Management Academy, a postgraduate master in “credit control and risk management” in July 2016.
During this experience she deepened her knowledge of the field of legal and tax aspects related to credit recovery, relations with banks and risk management.
Then, in February 2017, she awarded a Master’s Degree with honors in Economics from the University of Naples Federico II with a thesis in Financial History entitled “The Euro and the sovereign debt crisis”, in which she highlighted the fragility of the Monetary Union within the Eurozone.
During and after the university course she wanted to deepen her knowledge of the accounting and legal field with an internship at a professional firm.
Afterwards, she worked in some tax consulting firms, which allowed her to deepen and acquire knowledge also in the tax field.
In 2019 she was an entrepreneur in the bio-food sector, starting a business in the city of Caserta. The choice in the type of business was dictated by the growing importance and attention to a healthier and more organic diet. This particular work experience has allowed her to know and to understand all the mechanisms and problems of an entrepreneurial reality, ranging from finding resources and raw materials to relationships with suppliers, customers and professionals.
This parenthesis, albeit positive, ended in 2020, when she decided to sell the business to focus her attention on other interests.
Later, she awarded, in June 2020, a first-level University Master Degree in “New teaching for languages: multimodal, flipped learning and CLIL”, with a paper entitled “The CLIL Methodology”, where she underlined how much this tool represents an important innovative process in the educational and didactic field.

Michele Costagliola di Fiore got a bachelor’s degree in International Business Management. In 2019 he gains with honours a master’s degree in Marketing and International Management at the Parthenope University of Naples with a dissertation in International Innovation Network titled “ The effects of founding teams characteristics on startups’performance. The case of Campania”.
Before starting PhD program, in 2020 Michele won a scholarship to study the Campania Startup Ecosystem. He also collaborated with Knowtrack- the startups accelerator of DISAQ.
His main research interests are: entrepreneurship and venture creation; management of innovation and digitalisation.
Maria Coscia, graduated in Economics and Management cum laude and special mention to the academic career at the Department of Economics of the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli”. Author of a master thesis on the role of Gender Diversity and Corporate Social Responsibility in the banking industry, which is one of the winners of the Valeria Solesin Award 2021 (4th edition). Currently, PhD Student in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at University of Naples “Parthenope” and involved in the research theme of Gender Diversity.
Michele Iannuccilli has a degree in Economics, a master’s degree in Management and Organization of Information Systems, he is a certified Project Manager (PMI – Project Management Institute) and he has a SAFe 4 Agilist certification (Scaled Agile, Inc.). He currently holds the position of Program Manager at E.M.M. s.r.l., an IT company located in Naples – Italy. Previously he was a researcher and Project Manager at CRMPA (Research Centre in Pure and Applied Mathematics), a research consortium located within the University of Salerno. He has been dealing for several years with ICT and research, managing major projects in various sectors (tourism, transportation, e-commerce, Learning&Knowledge, IoT, smart cities, supply chain, etc.). He has written and contributed to drafting several successful National and International research projects.
After the bachelor’s degree in business administration in 2017 and the master’s degree in economics and business management in 2018 I continued the training course with two masters, one in accounting and financial statements and one in management of healthcare companies.
Since September 2018 I have been working as a consultant in Kpmg, specifically consulting in the health sector with public clients, supporting them in the implementation of a management control system, investments in healthcare hospitals and calulating the needs of people and resources. From February 2021 I will work in the strategy and transaction servicies team at Ernst & Young.
During the PhD course my focus will be on innovation in healthcare, such as telemedicine, precision medicine and connected care.
Lina Öztürk, holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration at Anadolu University, master’s degree and Phd in Business Administration at Mersin University. During her education, she was an entrepreneur and has experience in the industry. She worked as a visiting researcher at a neuromarketing research company in Italy. She has also participated (as researcher or team member) in several research projects in Turkey. Her main research interests are: marketing, consumer behavior, neuromarketing, tourism, and product innovation.
The doctorate has several training objectives which are substantiated by activities aimed at developing the following skills in doctoral students:
The programme of activities includes the acquisition of both theoretical knowledge and appropriate qualitative and quantitative methodologies instrumental to the design and
development of research in the field of economic and social sciences.
The training program includes educational activities carried out in collaboration between the
partner universities on the basis of their respective scientific expertise. The courses are divided into teaching modules.
Each course includes a teacher responsible for the design of the contents and the organization of
the lessons who will define, in a syllabus, the learning expectations, the contents provided in each
module and divided by lesson, the responsibilities of the modules that make up the course, the methods of evaluation of the learners, as well as the readings of support and accompaniment to the training course. The modules will be developed according to didactic settings that favor the active learning of the PhD students. For this purpose, the didactic programming will be based on
innovative approaches and techniques such as: participatory lessons, flipped learning, Teal method, simulations, teamwork, project work, virtual learning environment, gamification,
presentations and exhibitions in the classroom, mentoring.
