Enrolment and Dates

Experience the Napoli FinTech Lab. Acquire new skills, develop a fintech project in a logic of open innovation, or develop your own business idea. We are looking for talent, curiosity, diversity, the ability to think outside the box, and above all the motivation and ambition that drives a person to make their mark. To participate in the selections, download the call and send your application.

Profiles of Interest

The NFL is looking for the following profiles
  • Under 32 years of age
  • Graduates and undergraduates, with preference for economic, scientific and computer science disciplines
  • Interest or activities carried out in the fintech field (also Bachelor’s and Master’s thesis, internships, etc.)
  • Startupper with a team of at least two people and a business idea in the fintech field
  • Interest or skills in computer programming
  • Varied educational or professional background
  • Aptitude for problem-solving and project development
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Positive, curious and creative approach

ENROLLMENT

Admission requirements

Enrolment in the workshop activities is not compatible with employment in other occupations. Participants are required to make a full-time commitment for the entire duration of the project.

After evaluation of the requirements and adequacy of skills, the Laboratory encourages the participation of women. It is not possible to apply for both the Open Innovation and the Start-up pathways.

For the Open Innovation pathway, participation in the Napoli FinTech Lab is open to a maximum of 25 students, aged 32 or younger, i.e. born after 01/01/1990, in possession of a 2nd level degree or equivalent qualification, with preference given to economics, science and IT disciplines, and undergraduates who will receive their degree by the start date of the training programme (presumably 16 September 2022).
For the Start-up route, participation in the first phase of the Napoli FinTech Lab is open to a maximum of 5 start-ups. Applicants with no age limit and in possession of a high school diploma or equivalent qualification may participate. Start-ups are requested to send a slide packet presenting the business idea (or the start-up if already established), with a description of the business model canvas. The start-up team, which must consist of at least two people, and their respective roles within the company, must also be indicated.

Registration and fee for participation in the selections

Please refer to the call for applications published on the website for details on how to apply for the Open Innovation and Start-up courses.

Please note that the candidate, together with the documentation required in the notice, must pay the fee for sending the application amounting to €100.00. The receipt must be enclosed with the application material. Applicants who are selected and successfully complete the Napoli Fintech Lab programme will be refunded the amount paid.

The payment of the fee for participation in the selection process covers administrative costs. The fees remaining from the coverage of costs will be used for the establishment of a Degree Award for master’s thesis on topics related to the application of new technologies in the financial sector. The establishment of the Degree Award will be announced once the selection process has been completed.

Documents to be sent

For open innovation participants:

  • Application form;
  • curriculum vitae complete with personal details, postal address, telephone numbers and e-mail address;
  • degree certificate of 1st and 2nd level in which the marks obtained in the individual profit exams, the grade of the degree exam and the date of the latter are indicated
  • any other titles attesting to previous educational activities or professional experiences, including the degree thesis, provided that they are relevant to the activities of the laboratory;
  • copy of a valid identity document and tax code;
  • a motivational letter or, preferably, a self-presentation video of a maximum duration of 1 minute, to be sent by WeTransfer;
  • The receipt of the payment of € 100 as a contribution towards the costs of participation in the selection process.
For startuppers:
  • Application form;
  • Document presenting the start-up or business idea with a description of the Business Model Canvas, indicating the composition and roles of the team members;
  • For each member of the start-up team, curriculum vitae et studiorum complete with personal details, postal address, telephone number and email address;
  • For each member of the start-up team, a copy of a valid identity document and tax code;
  • A self-presentation video of a maximum duration of 1 minute, to be sent via WeTransfer;
  • Receipt of the payment of € 100 as a contribution towards the costs of participation in the selection process.

Selection process

A Commission of experts will evaluate the applications received and will invite the shortlisted candidates to a web-call interview.

By 15 July 2022, the Commission will communicate the list of candidates admitted to the Napoli Fintech Lab. For details on the selection process, please refer to the call for applications
