LABORATORY FOR FINANCIAL INNOVATION

Training Plan

The Laboratory offers an interdisciplinary and specialized training plan, enabling the acquisition of distinctive professional knowledge and skills.

The development of participants’ technical skills is made possible because of a training plan and workshop activities that integrate theoretical content with more technical and practical aspects.

Teaching activities are carried out by university professors, managers and experts in the fintech industry. Participants will have the opportunity to work alongside key players in the financial sector and will benefit from supervision and mentoring of development and start-up projects. At the end of the project, participants will be supported in their search for the best professional opportunities.

In the Open Innovation Lab, financial partners challenge teams.

The working methodology used is Design Thinking. There are 4 fundamental phases: Exploration, Ideation, Prototyping and Validation.

The technology partner participates in the Laboratory by providing training and technical development for the project.

At the end of each phase, a meeting is planned to present the progress.

Funnel Startup - First Phase

Selection of business ideas

The call for applications is open to start-ups that must have a team composed of at least 2 people and they have to present a pitch by discussing the business idea.

Training

Provision of training in Business Design Thinking, aimed at preparing a slide deck for the presentation of the business idea.

03.
Presentation of business ideas to Lab partners

The ideas are presented to the partners who decide in consultation with the University whether to incubate one or more start-ups.

JANUARY - JUNE 2023

Funnel Startup - Second Phase

Phase initiated only after financing of incubation with an ad-hoc program by the partner.

04.
Incubation

For each start-up, depending on its stage of progress, an ad-hoc incubation plan is drawn up and delivered with partners interested in the business idea.
The aim is to bring the business idea to maturity, in order to be presented at the Uninvestor Day.

It takes two geniuses for an idea.
One to produce it and another to recognize it.
