SUSTAINABILITY, INNOVATION AND DIGITALIZATION: Statistical Measurement for Economic Analysis

3rd ITALIAN CONFERENCE ON ECONOMIC STATISTICS

University of Napoli Parthenope, Italy | February 13-14, 2025

The focus of the 3rd Conference on Economic Statistics is on the statistical measurement of Sustainability, Innovation, and Digitalization for economic analysis.

The Conference

The recent advancements in Economic Statistics, driven by technological progress and increased data availability, have been revolutionizing the analysis of economic phenomena in ways that align closely with the themes of sustainability, innovation, and digitalization. Big data, machine learning, and artificial intelligence now empower economic statisticians to analyze massive datasets derived from the integration of diverse data sources and cutting-edge methodologies. While this improves the accuracy and timeliness of economic forecasts and policy assessments, it also introduces challenges that necessitate greater research into topics specific to Economic Statistics.

The sustainable vision, on the other hand, represents the chore strategy to re-think economic growth and development, but it still needs to be fully translated into enterprises, societies, and policy-makers’ practices, requiring in parallel the identification of the most appropriate statistical techniques for its assessment and monitoring over time and across territories. The upcoming Conference will explore these challenges, focusing on the latest innovations in technological development and productivity while addressing the labour market, sustainability, and digitalization.
